Work Day Dec 28th, 10am on the Frisco, St Louis and Zora

12/26/2013 09:21
The recent ice storm has left some fallen & dangling limbs along the Frisco Greenway Trail, mainly between St. Louis Ave and the Turkey Creek bridge.

For safety's sake, it would be a good idea to remove the debris & hazards pretty soon. Accordingly, a work session has been scheduled for SATURDAY, DECEMBER 28, 10 A.M. With at least 1/2 dozen people and the right tools, we can get this done in 2 hours, max! Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Let's meet at the St. Louis trail head. Please bring work gloves, and dress warmly. It's supposed to be a nice day, but it'll probably still be a bit chilly at 10!

The following tools would be helpful
  • pruners
  • bow saws
  • lawn [rigid tine] rakes [and maybe one chainsaw], the whole thing could be cleared in less than 2 hours.  W
  • one chainsaw has been promised; one more wouldn't hurt.
And please let us know if you have encountered downed limbs elsewhere on the FGT or on the Ruby Jack. If we have enough people, we can send crews to different locations.

Thanks for your support of JTC. we look forward to seeing some of you on Saturday.
